Minor vent

Venting a bit.

Work as a census lister for the US Census of Bureau was too short this time - barely a week, and BAM!, the higher ups tells us we're done. This time work was different on checking the type of addresses, compared to last time where we were checking to make sure the addresses we got were actual residencies. Temporary, but still. At least it gives me some expreience.

Other than that, job hunting is... difficult. Mostly my fault, I suppose. I have trouble hashing out long-term goals and sticking to them on the off-chance I do create them, as I'm more of a day-to-day type of person. My dad keeps on insisting IT work like Cisco but I don't feel it's my kind of thing. Talking with one of my high school counselors let out some pent-up frustration, and she pointed out how I was a bit more of a people-interacting type of person, which kinda surprises me. They say having a good network helps and that's probably part of my problem and the irony on what my counselor said. I just wish I was a more pro-active so I can be a bit more financially stable. It kinda feels the scenario of where you have the certification but lack the experience, or have the experience but lack certification.
